'MADE IN NORTHUMBRIA' EXHIBITION 01/10/08
The 'Made in Northumbria Exhibition', part of Design Event 08 will run from the 9-24th October 2008 at Northumbria University. The exhibition will show how design influences all aspects of everyday life in and around the home and will feature the work of recent graduates from the School of Design, including the 'Glide' ceramic toaster.

OBJECT WINS NEW DESIGNERS VTECH AWARD 09/07/08
'Object' has won the New Designers Vtech award! A paid placement in Hong Kong working for Vtech Telecommunications Ltd. The judges praised the work saying it was.. "A Well resolved project using understandable technology and a sympathetic interface.'

THIRTY STORIES EXHIBITION OPENING (LONDON) 09/07/08

THIRTY STORIES EXHIBITION OPENING (NEWCASTLE) 17/06/08
The 'Reveal' degree show will open at Northumbria University tonight 5-8pm showcasing final year students from Design for Industry, Fashion, Three-Dimensional Design, Graphics and Multimedia. Recent projects object and breathe will be exhibited in within the 'thirty stories' Design for Industry exhibtion on floor one.
OBJECT PROJECT COMPLETED 17/05/08
The major project is complete at long last and goes by the name of Object. Object is an alternative vision of how we could deal with the storage of digital data within the domestic landscape. The project will be presented at the 'reveal' degree show in Newcastle opening on the 17th June 5-8pm and running until the 27th July and then at New Designers in London from the 9th-13th July.

Rather than hide data away, the networked system enables the capture, transfer, storage and sharing of digital photographs to be acheived within a physical, understandable and enjoyable user experience.
object camera
The internet based system relies on the accompanying products, camera, exchange and viewer, as symbolic recipticles of data in the physical world that help to explain, quantify and symbolise digital photographs which ultimately transfer into the system instantly and invisibly through wi-fi internet transfer. Memories become located and associated to physical space within the camera and later to domestic memento’s, this provides the unobtrusive and familiar physical triggers which help to access digital data quicker and with more pleasure
